Our Origin
History
The PKA started as an idea during the Kiteboard Tour Asia. Jay Ortiz, Ken Nacor, Carlo Leongson and other Filipino competitors thought that we are a powerhouse in this sport.
We should therefore have a program to develop new athletes and improve our current athletes as-well.
The Idea also of promoting the sport of kiteboarding throughout the country was agreed. Hence we thought of organizing into an association.
So in 2013 we had an election and incorporated with the original 7 incorporators as follows:
MISSION STATEMENT
The PKA exists to elevate Filipino kiteboarding from local shores to the global stage. Every program we run, every athlete we develop, ties back to this dual mission.
- 01Athlete Development
To develop Filipino athletes to compete in the international scene.
- 02Sport Promotion
To promote the sport of kiteboarding throughout the country.
